Valetta

   I've been here since Saturday.
That is why I need to tell you
   things that happened earlier. On
   Saturday morning, I met Esther
who had been here to study
   English. Before she went home,
she wanted to give me some
tips. How generous of her. This
way I learned a lot about buses, must-see sights and a good café in Valetta etc. Because I'm a big fan of old cities AND good cafés, I decided to spend the Saturday in Valetta. Here are some impressions:

The first thing I saw when
arriving at Valetta was the Eco
   Market.  This community of
   change-makers aspires to make
   ethical consumption the norm
   and present a purposeful
   shopping experience in Malta. I
   tried delicious wine which was
   advertised as a guilt-free
delicacy;) The purpose of this event was to inspire and facilitate an easy and joyful shift towards an environmentally-friendly way of living. There was, for instance, a girl using a pedal powered blender. She could not get her smoothy without riding her bike, This way, she killed to birds with one stone: she saved energy and had her exercise.

Welcome to Malta

This is my first post. I have never written a blog but would like to try out what it is like. And because I'm currently on holiday, I have time to do so...

Believe it or not, I'm in Malta. Not for the first time, though, but it feels like that. My first trip to Malta took place 17 years ago.
